On June 6, 2024, in the Konstantinovsky Palace, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin held negotiations with the President of our friendly Latin American country. They discussed a joint lithium mining project, as well as Bolivia’s entry into BRICS.
Then Luis Alberto Arce Catacora visited the building of the Twelve Collegiums to receive the title of honorary professor of St. Petersburg State University, where
also gave a lecture on the economic model of Bolivia, which has been in effect since 2006, and also answered questions from students. The President also emphasized that Russia and Bolivia are deepening relations in the field of education. Based on the concluded agreements, the study of the Russian language and the study of Bolivian students at Russian universities will become widespread in Bolivia. The President said that Bolivia, like Russia, defends national interests in the context of globalization. And they will not allow Western countries to interfere in the internal affairs of the state.
