How many foreign languages do the students of “World Economy” study?

Full-time students of the “World Economy” study two foreign languages one of which is English and the other one is the choice of the student, as a rule German or French. Part-time students study only English.

Where do the students of “World Economy” pass their internships?

Our students pass their internships in the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the Administration of St. Petersburg, international organizations, financial, commercial and the public bodies carrying out foreign trade activities.

Where do the graduates of “World Economy” work?

As a rule our graduates have no problems with employment. They work practically in all branches of economy.

Is there an opportunity of training abroad during the studying?

Students have two opportunities to pass the training. A number of them find a place independently. Another opportunity is to take an advantage of programmes of the University or the Faculty concerning contracts on cooperation, in particular, with Technical University Ilmenau, Germany.

Are there evening or correspondence branches in the “World Economy”?

There is an enrolment on the internal branch every year and the one for the evening branch once in two years. There is no correspondence branch in the “World Economy”.

How is scientific work of students organized?

The Student's Scientific Society has been working for three years. Students of the “World Economy” participate actively in young scientists’ conferences.

Do foreign students study “World Economy”?
